In the field in cody Wyoming

Fri Mar 6, 2009, 4:16 AM
Well due to my leaving Switzerland a few people have come forward to buy works and so though I sit in Wyoming (Cody to be exact) my wife continues to unload paintings. I am out doing archaeological works in the blazing rattle snake fields and she is playing art dealer in Bern Switzerland.
At anyrate really would love to do some paintings but I will have to wait a while the landscape and change are really inspiring but I haven't any material to paint with. I might try to play some music some where those as I did while in Colorado.

So for those of you who don't know Sanchez Art Werk is the name of a project which I began some seven years ago. It comprises a website, production of music and websites, and a small studio in Switzerland. The studio in Biel or in French Bienne is now closed meaning that I am not going to producing art for a while and that the material physical thing that that was Sanchez Art Werk is now gone. It still exists on line through the website, but after many shows in several countries, numerous musical works, live concerts, many sales, a couple of websites and a great number of paintings this experiment is over. I hope to one day return to art and perhaps to Deviant art but as of now I am on leave and will not be posting anything new or even be on line much if at all.
To the few people that this concerns thanks for your support and for the rest you most likely won't read this anyway lol.

Tuscany in September
I have been invited to show at the Chianciano Biennale 2009
[link]
in beautiful Tuscany Italy.

It will be my first official museum show, first Biennale as well as my first show in Italy. It is possible that my painting will be chosen to travel to London for a sister Biennale there. There will be awards given and a few artists will be selected for representation through the London Gagliardi Gallery
(www.gagliardi.org).
So wish me luck!

Working artists step up!
I decided to not renew my membership here (as it produced nothing for me as a working artist zip null 0) and instead subscribed to myartspace which actually puts on shows in the real world at their gallery in California, is putting on another in London and last year sent folks to live and paint in the south of France. Besides I was asked to submit work for several comissions, invited to take part in numerous art fairs and even approached by a museum through them.

For those of you here on a professional level with a resume etc.. I would encourage you to get on their site they are really doing things for artists (instead of hackers and anime nuts and DA staff self gratification)and the real galleries and art brockers are there not here on DA.

Just got back from my visit to Bogota, Cartagena and Florida (Miami and Tampa)that finishes up the year with ten countries visited a record for me.
Sometimes you visit places and they really cast a spell on you make you want to stay and I have to say Colombia didn't.
There were few things about Bogota that appealed to me and Cartagena survives from a massive resort toursim trade that is well disgusting. It might have had charm centuries ago but now you can't enjoy it with all the people trying to sell you rolex copies and t-shirts. And no they won't ever leave you alone.
Still the gold museums of Bogota [link] and Cartagena were incredible and the Botero museum and numismatic collection were amazing. They also have a great museum at the cathedral Santo Domingo. These things hint at what a grand and rich country Colombia could be but sadly really isn't.

I love the beach and to sea kayak but you could never really relax being hounded by the t-shirt guys endlessly so lame. The food was good though overall that is important.

************************************************
I'm heading to Colombia for a few weeks so I won't be able to reply to anyone for a bit. I'll be back in the middle of December,
ciao

I have managed to develop a real flap jack problem hoping there is a twelve step program for them or better some shop somewhere in Switzerland where I can find some more.

Hello Jonathan!

I'm here to ask you a favor! A picture of mine was banned today and I'm furious with it. Can you please go to [link] and have a position about the issue? A comment or a Fav would help, if you agree with my statement.

Thanks

Peter
